: Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (Matrade) will organise an incoming buying mission (IBM) for healthcare services and products sector.
It will be jointly hosted by Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council with the support of the Association of Private Hospitals of Malaysia (APHM), it said in a statement today.
Matrade said the mission will be held in conjunction with the APHM International Healthcare Conference and Exhibition 2010 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from Tuesday to 15.
Incoming buying missions have proven to be one of the most effective platforms for Malaysian service providers and manufacturers to promote their products and services and to network with foreign clients.
Matrade said foreign clients from the healthcare services sector, which includes healthcare facilitators and agents, health tourism promoters, insurance companies and importers of pharmaceutical and medical products will be meeting with Malaysian service providers and manufacturers.
Among them are from Bangladesh, Canada, Colombia, India, Nepal, Oman, Qatar, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, the United States and Venezuela.
Matrade said about 40 Malaysian companies have registered for the pre scheduled meetings Tuesday and Wednesday.
Besides business meetings, the foreign clients will also be visiting local hospitals for first-hand information on technology level and to gauge the service provided.
